Proverbs 28:1 -- The Wicked Flee

Projection is a psychological term describing the fact that we often ascribe characteristics to other people that we have ourselves. One result of this phenomenon is found in Proverbs 28:1: "The wicked flee when no one pursues."  Since the wicked have no compunction about hurting others, they assume that those around them have the same character. You may have to look carefully to see the phantoms that the man in the background of this collage is fleeing since they don't really exist.
