Genesis 4 relates the well known story of Cain killing his brother Abel. For punishment, Cain is condemned to wander the earth. But instead of doing that, he promptly gets married and puts down roots in a city he founds, which he names Enoch after his son. It is there that the various branches of endeavor that we call civilization originate.
The original artwork at left was completed in 2010 and is a 11"x12" mixed-media piece on masonite.
