Jonah 1 and Matthew 8:23-27

I have for some time been intrigued by the surface similarities between Jonah and Jesus, despite their overall differences. One such parallel is found in this post's title accounts. In both cases, there is a storm at sea and a boat is in peril. The main character, however, is oblivious since he is sleeping below. The sailors, in desperation, turn to him for help and he calms the sea to save them.
